Dermal (Skin) FillersAs we get older the amount of healthy elastic tissues in the skin's structure decreases, causing wrinkles and sagging. Smoking, sunlight and alcohol speed up this process.

Dermal, or skin, fillers can be used to treat deeper lines and wrinkles, such as those around the mouth, lip lines and naso-labial folds (between the nose and corner of the mouth).

Dermal filler treatments are a safe and effective way to roll back the years - helping to reverse or arrest these signs of ageing. Consisting of a smooth, gelatinous fluid that is gently injected into the problem area, a dermal filler will fill and smooth away troublesome lines and wrinkles. Injected into the skin beneath the wrinkle, it causes lines to smooth out to produce a noticeably younger look.

Results are visible immediately and will continue to improve over a number of days, with the full benefit apparent after fourteen days. The effects of a single treatment can last up to twelve months depending on the individual.

It is perfectly safe to repeat the treatment regularly every nine months or so to maintain a smooth, younger look.
